sashlock
A lock that can 'lock' the door via a key operated deadbolt, opened using the latch function and can be either 3 or 5 lever. The sashlock is morticed (or cut) into the door and is operated by a lever and locked by a key. There are two main types of sashlock; the 3 lever is primerily for internal door security and the 5 lever is usually used on extenal door or doors that require additional security. Some 5 lever versions comply with British standards and are recommended by insurance companies and the Police .
